  When were the annointed resurrected to heaven?

  i have heard that there has been some changes as to what the witnesses teach regarding the resurrection of annointed to spirit life.. what is the current teaching?

  is it still that an annointed is resurrected "in the twinkling of an eye" as i was always taught?

  i was also taught that this resurrection began in 1918. .

  I don't think there have been any changes. From 1918 onward the anointed who die are instantly resurrected to spirit life. Except for the fakers. They are in the lake of fire and will be replaced by the almost 12,000 nibble-n-sippers who currently occupy Kingdom Hall seats.

  for her, it was one time we sent to see the ny philharmonic.

  the program was particularly moving, and we both agreed that the feeling was borderline "orgasmic.

  I thought I had one once. I was pretty sure it was what "anointed" people feel like. Now I'm fairly confident that it was just a rush of chemicals. I'd love for it to happen again so I can analyze it better because at the time I just rolled with the feelings.

  this is utterly ridiculous.... .

  the more i research this particular subject, the more flip-flops i uncover.

  it seems the fds cant even make up their minds regarding what happened in 1918 (or should i say 1919?).

  Alfred, hats off to you for discovering this.

  I've never seen this series of flip-flops even mentioned before, let alone enumerated so perfectly. I think it might be even worse than the toes of the image flip-flops.

  Do the brothers have to follow an outline when they give talks?

  since i was a sister at the kingdom hall, i was a little confused when the brothers give talks as a kid.

  do the brother work around an outline, or do they write around the outline.

  how does this work?.

  Every body of elders picks one of their members to supposedly keep an eye on the speakers to make sure they follow the outlines. I don't know of any who ever actually carried out the assignment.

  I don't think Dawkins is trying to reach religious people with this book. It seems to me that he's trying to reach the young people who are growing up on Neil Gaiman and Philip Pullman while their minds are still open and willing to accept the idea that there is no scientific evidence for the supernatural, and as science explains more and more about the natural universe, the supernatural explanation becomes less and less necessary and convincing.

  Most chapters start out with myths about the origins of whatever the topic is (the sun, rainbows, etc.). Then the rest of the chapter explains the science behind the topic. It is obvious to the reader which makes more sense.

  Of course it's going to piss off religious people who suffer from a god delusion, because they are unwilling to entertain the possibility of being wrong. I think Dawkins would gladly welcome god into his home if only god could be bothered to show up. Would your typical fundamentalist welcome Richard Dawkins?

  They were not exonerated, nor were the charges dropped.

  The original case was dismissed on a technicality (I don't recall whether it was on appeal or whether the technicality was simply discovered by the authorities) and when it came up for re-trial, the war was over and the prosecutor had better things to do - worse criminals to prosecute.

  whenever a new branch or k/hall is built, its always proof that supposedly j is blessing his people and speeding up the work.

  does that mean when they have to close a bethel branch it means he is pissed off with "his people"????.

  Isn't it interesting how they started ramping up their real estate investments just as they were preparing to discontinue literature sales?

  There is NO QUESTION that they view real estate as an investment. It's their only real money maker now.
